    My Knee Surgery

Not sure how I did I torn my Meniscus Cartilage/ligament. Perhaps when I was running on the track and maybe I was turning corner too fast. As a result, I had steady pain/discomfort for over a week than just on/off pain/discomfort for another week or so. So, I went to see an Orthopedic and after a series of test which includes X-Ray, & MRI, problem was finally discovered. Nearly five weeks passed by during this whole ordeal. And after almost two months I had my surgery done this morning. Gonna be on crunches for few days but doctor said should a very speedy recovery. However, it would be few days before my bandages are taken off and weeks before I can resume life normally (finger crossed & wish me luck).

This is how the surgery is done.

    First...

Then just remove the torn area. Though I am not sure exactly which part. I will know it once I see the doctor again next week.

    My Leg now....

  • Joke #888 :) =) :D

After 20 years of marriage, a couple was lying in bed one evening, when the missus felt her husband begin to fondle her in ways he hadn't in quite some time.

It almost tickled as his fingers started at her neck, and then began moving down past the small of her back. He then caressed her shoulders and neck, slowly worked his hand down over her breasts, stopping just over her lower stomach.

He then proceeded to place his hand on her left inner arm, caressed  past the side of her breast again, working down her side, passed gently over her buttock and down her leg to her calf. Then, he proceeded up her inner thigh, stopping just at the uppermost portion of her leg. He continued in the same manner on her right side, then suddenly stopped, rolled over and became silent.

As she had become quite aroused by this caressing, she asked in a loving voice, 'That was wonderful. Why did you stop?'

He said,  'I found the remote'

  • 5 Reasons Why You Guys Are Still Single

    Credit: Yahoo! Shine
Posted Mon, Nov 17, 2008, 1:23 pm PST

Do you find yourself wondering why most of your buddies have steady dates, yet you can barely secure a first date, let alone a second (and, playing a regular game of Mahjong and Canasta with your grandparents and their friends doesn't count)? Guys, if so, it's time to ask yourself a few Foxy questions...

Do you... have a problem with eye contact?  Even if you love everything about this other person, it won't matter, if you can't take your eyes off their body parts. They'll likely think you're out for one thing, or that you're just kind of creepy. Sure, they might be wearing something revealing, but that's no excuse to stare all night long. Get a grip and get comfortable with eye contact, which creates a much better bond.

Do you... eat like a caveman? Utensils are there for a reason -- so you can eat like a gentleman. Shoveling food into your mouth is not something you should subject your date to. Same goes for talking while chewing. Not only is it unpleasant to watch at a time when your job is to be easy on the eyes, it's a red flag that says you're a little short on self-awareness -- an important characteristic in a mate.

Do you... trim your toenails?  Not that your date will necessarily see your toenails right away, but when they do end up eyeballing them, unkept toenails are a guaranteed huge turnoff. It means you don't take care of yourself, and valuing yourself is an important part of a healthy relationship. Plus, let's not forget the damage they can do to the other person's leg when you're snuggling up on the sofa watching movies.

Do you... order "everything on the side" at a restaurant?  In other words, do you order like a girl?  Please don't. Because if your date has to be tortured by, "I'll have the Cobb salad, but no cheese, avocado, or bacon, and dressing on the side, and the pasta, but no oil please, and extra light on the pinenuts," they may be forced to hide under the table or at least wonder what kind of demanding partner you could be. If you have dietary restrictions, do your best, just don't get into what will happen to your belly if you don't follow them.

Do you... assume you're going to strike out?  The Secret said it once but we'll say it again: In a lot of ways, you manifest your own destiny. So, if you have lots of thoughts about being unlucky in love, you may be pushing people away in ways you may not even know. If you assume the worst of the world and yourself, spend a few minutes before your date making a mental list of why you're looking for a relationship and why you are an incredible a catch.

And check out these 8 Things Not to Do on a First Date.

  • First Multi-touch Laptop

    HP's Multi-touch laptop (TouchSmart tx2)

While gawkers have been breathlessly predicting that Apple would be adapting its multi-touch technology for a tablet PC, the first laptop with a multi-touch screen is actually coming out from a quite different company: Hewlett-Packard.

Put simply: HP's TouchSmart tx2 adds a multi-touch screen to a traditional, convertible tablet computer. This means you can use a finger or two to draw on the screen, browse the web, click icons, and control media through HP's homegrown MediaSmart application. As with the iPhone, the screen uses a capacitive sensor so you don't have to press hard on the screen to register a tap or a trace. However, unlike the iPhone, if you want to do detail work (like writing in longhand or doing a detailed illustration), you can use the included pen to put a finer point on things.

Under the hood, the TouchSmart tx2 is still a Vista laptop, which means it has all the tablet functions of the standard Windows OS. (If you've never used a tablet, Vista includes write-on-the-screen features by default... but only if the hardware supports it.)

Some specs are on the lighter side, featuring your choice of AMD-based CPUs (no Intel here, sorry). The 12.1-inch screen is powered by an ATI Radeon HD 3200 CPU, and hard drives will range from 160 to 500GB. Wi-Fi is integrated, but there's no integrated WWAN feature available.

Because the TouchSmart is built on Windows, don't expect a radical departure from the current state of the art: Multi-touch trackpads have shown up on a few notebooks so far, and while the advances are interesting, they aren't revolutionary. HP, however, has a history of innovating software as well as hardware -- the MediaSmart application looks to be an interesting first step toward making fuller use of multi-touch, so watch this space to see what happens from here.

Prices start at a reasonable $1,150 (though that's tentative). The TouchSmart tx2 goes on sale tomorrow with shipping at the end of the month.

  • Seven tricks for your Nintendo Wii
    Credit: Yahoo! Tech
    Tue Oct 21, 2008 3:56PM EDT

You didn't think your Nintendo Wii was a one-trick, Wii Sports playing pony, did you? Techradar.com compiled a list of seven tricks that can squeeze more out of your Nintendo Wii. Here are my personal favorites:

    1. Email a chum's Wii: You'll need to have a record of those damnably unmemorable friend codes for anyone you want to mail, but once you do it's simple: just drop a message to w[friendcode]@wii.com. For instance, w1234567891011@wii.com.

    6. Fix stubborn Wiimotes: If you're having trouble getting a new or borrowed Wiimote to synch with your console, there's a way to make the Wii completely forget about all the remotes it's paired with so that you can start afresh. Turn the Wii off and unplug it from the wall. Wait 30 seconds, then plug it in and turn it on again. When the Health & Safety warning pops up, open the flap on the front of the Wii, then press and hold down the red SYNC button for 15 seconds. And that's it - all the synced controllers will be forgotten. Then pair all your Wiimotes with the console using the standard method.

    7. Use your Wiimotes with your PC: Yep, the Wiimote uses standard Bluetooth wireless tech to talk to the console - which means it can also work with a PC. So your Wii controller can double up as a remote control for movie watching, or you can even play any game with it. You'll need either built-in Bluetooth support or a USB adaptor in your PC, plus free app GlovePIE to get it working. There's a little bit of faff involved, but the instructions at the GlovePIE site will talk you through it. You can also download pre-made profiles for specific games.

Of course, I have a few tricks up my sleeve that I like to use with my Wii.

Turn the Wii into a YouTube machine: Here's an obvious one that I just don't see enough people using. Using the Wii's Opera-powered Internet Channel (which you have to purchase from the Wii Shop for 500 points), you can simply browse to YouTube.com to watch your favorite video moments on your big-screen TV.  Additionally, you can plug in any USB keyboard or the Logitech Cordless Wii Keyboard to make Internet browsing and YouTube oogling a complete breeze. Boom goes the dynamite!

Utilize the homebrew channel: This one takes a little bit more trickery than the others. Using your copy of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, you can install a freeware "homebrew" channel that allows you to run unofficial software on your Nintendo Wii. There are emulators, games, media players, and more—the potential is limitless. However, the legality of this is hotly debated, and your warranty may be voided, so proceed with caution.

Want more out of your Wii? Head over to Techradar.com to see the full list. Have any secret tips of your own? Fire away in the comments below.

  • 9 Fat-Burning Eating Tips

    Credit: Yahoo! Food
Posted: Tue, Aug 26, 2008, 7:51 pm PDT

Now don't get all excited. We don't have any magic wand solutions that will take the place of exercise and eating right. But we do have a few foods that could help you on your journey to rid yourself of excess flab. Hungry Girl's here with the scoop...

    LEAN PROTEIN
To put it simply, protein takes a lot of effort for the body to break down and digest. A lot more than, say, fat. So while your body is working hard to process that protein, you're burning calories. HG tip -- eat fish! Chances are you're not getting enough of it. Not only is fish a fabulous source of lean protein, BUT many types are full of those Omega-3 fatty acids you're always hearing about. Beans are also a wonderful source of protein. And it's no secret how we feel about our friend the soybean. (Let's have a cheer for veggie patties and soy-meats!)

    WHOLE GRAINS
Belly fat is not particularly cute on anyone (except maybe babies), so it's exciting news that whole grains can do a number on that stubborn flab around your midsection. One of the easiest ways to get whole grains into your diet? Oatmeal in the morning. Quaker's Simple Harvest Multigrain Hot Cereal is really good and just full of grains. Also, Kashi GoLean's Hot Cereal packs in 7 whole grains and a big 5 - 7g fiber! Mmmmm...

    GRAPEFRUIT
Ever since you were a kid popping Flintstones Chewables, you've known that Vitamin C is good for you -- and that certainly hasn't changed. Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant AND has been shown in studies to help burn fat. So, if you're looking for a snack, how's about a nice, juicy grapefruit? The theory is that grapefruit helps to lower insulin levels, which keeps you from being hungry all the time! We know it smacks of classic diet food, but those Ruby Reds are MIGHTY delicious! If it's too sour for you straight, sprinkle it with some no-calorie sweetener like Splenda or stevia.

    GREEN TEA
Green tea is EVERYWHERE. It's been classified as a "superfood" as it's been linked to reduced rates of heart disease and cancer. And now it helps us lose weight too? Green tea has been shown to raise our metabolism, which is key in our battle with the bad stuff. Researchers also suspect that substances called polyphenols combined with caffeine are responsible for its fat-burning properties. If the hot murky stuff doesn't do it for you, try HG's Green Tea Crème Swappuccino! Only 75 calories and SO GOOD!

    SPICY FOODS
You know how when you eat spicy foods, you sometimes start to sweat a little (ew)? That's because it's given a little kick to your heart rate. These little kicks will result in a temporary increase in your metabolism, which will help you burn fat a little easier for a bit. A quick hit with cayenne, red pepper flakes, or whatever hot sauce you fancy should do the trick and get your blood pumping. And these spices are practically calorie-free. Yes!

    LIGHT DAIRY
Hey, dairy queens! Good news! It turns out that people who eat low-fat or fat-free dairy lose MORE weight than people who don't. Sure we mentioned protein before, but it bears bringing up again since the magical combo of calcium and protein seems to work wonders. We're WAY into yogurt, so we suggest picking up some Fage Total 0% Greek Yogurt and mixing in your favorite fruits, sugar-free preserves... or whatever! Also, light string cheese is a GREAT little snack, with only around 50-60 calories and 2.5g fat a pop. Not bad for hard cheese, people.

    WATER
Experts say it's important to drink lots of water if you're trying to burn fat Your body can't work effectively if it's dehydrated -- not only will you FEEL like you don't have any energy, but also your body really won't have what it needs to function and burn off fat. Keep that machine humming -- drink around 8 glasses of water a day!

    CINNAMON
Sure this stuff tastes good -- that's why it's found in SO many things. But those chefs might not know that their sprinkling of cinnamon is helping the body process sugar more effectively and lower blood sugar levels. High blood sugar can lead to the body storing more fat, so maybe put together a little shaker of cinnamon and Splenda to sprinkle on your favorite foods! Then whip up some fat-burning cinnamon toast by using your new concoction on whole-wheat bread!

    APPLES
An apple a day isn't going to keep the gym away, but it'll probably make your diet plan more effective. Word on the street is that the pectin contained in apples limits how much fat your cells can absorb. (SWEET!) Plus it's a naturally soluble fiber, which is always good. So next time you feel all snacky, grab whichever apple looks best to you (we love Fujis!).

  • What do you look for when listening to music? What makes your playlist different?

If its Rock than I would look for something on the softer side that sounds more like Alternative or Soft Rock (less screaming). eg. Coldplay, PANIC! At The Disco, Chris Daughtry

If its Hip-Hop/Rap...must have lots of Bass and catchy phrases. Not just cursing words. Something that most people who likes the genre can enjoy. eg. Wyclef Jean, Akon, Kanye West

Pop is now more of Soft Rock or Alternative. So, I think I would like that kind of Pop songs. eg. Simple Plan, Mariah Carey (Pop/R&B), Michael Jackson

My playlist is definitely different from the most cause I would arrange my song's genre as I feel what it sounds like. For example, a band that is originally call themselves Rock band..if they sound like Alternative..I will change the genre myself on my playlist. I think I am one of the few people who actually takes their time to arrange all the most commonly used field for every single track I own. eg. Proper title (no a mixure of some CAPS some small letters), Artist name (or whoever they are featuring), Original Artist, Year, Genre, Composer (if easily available), etc
